How to register with Punt

4.4/5

Signing-up with Punt is pretty easy – though as I said earlier, the brand isn’t 100% clear about how many free GC or SC you’ll be awarded by way of their new customer bonus.

There’s only one way to find out, of course, and that’s by following these steps:

  1. Visit Punt from a Punt-permitted US state.
  2. Click “Sign Up”.
  3. Enter a few bits of basic info and accept the T&Cs.
  4. Upload a photo of your US passport or driver’s license.
  5. Wait for your documents to be approved.
  6. Start claiming free GC/SC and playing at Punt’s 500+ different games.

How does Punt work if you’re a smartphone or tablet user?

In a nutshell, playing at Punt from an iOS or Android device is exactly the same as visiting the site from your PC or Mac. I say this because as far as I can tell, the brand doesn’t offer any downloadable apps right now – which means all players are limited to visiting the site via their browsers (I’ve found Chrome and Firefox work best here).

This set-up isn’t unusual among sweepstakes casinos. Stake.us and WOW Vegas, for example, don’t offer dedicated apps either, though you will find that other brands, like ClubWPT and High5Casino, do.

For me, the lack of an app didn’t take away from the Punt mobile gaming experience one iota. Punt’s Hacksaw and Pragmatic-powered games were just as quick loading up on my Google Pixel 8 Pro as on my Acer Travelmate laptop, and gameplay itself rarely seemed to experience any lag or downtime.

Basically, Punt is a reliable platform regardless of what kind of device you choose to access it from. But is it easy to buy GC coin top-ups, or redeem your SC for prizes in classic sweepstakes style? Let’s take a look.

My Punt rating’s take on the payment options available

4.4/5

I feel now is a good time to remind you guys that much like every other sweepstakes casino out there, Punt is a “no purchase necessary” platform, where you can collect GC/SC freely in several different ways.

GC are online coins that are played solely for fun on the platform. If you want to purchase them, you 100% can – with both fiat and crypto options available to choose from, but as is the case with other sweeps sites, SC can never be bought.

What are the GC purchase options?

Fiat-wise, my Punt review found that MasterCard, VISA, and American Express are all supported, as is Diners. You can initiate a purchase simply by clicking “Wallet” followed by “Buy Bundle”, then selecting any of the following purchase options:

  • 50,000 GC for $5 – with a free 5 SC bonus.
  • 200,000 GC for $20 – with a free 20 SC bonus.
  • 1,000,000 GC for $100 – with a free 100 SC bonus.
  • 6,000,000 GC for $600 – with a free 600 SC bonus.

Of course, this is just a snapshot of but a few of the bundles on offer. When I opted for the 1,000,000 GC package for myself, I’m happy to say it only took around five minutes for the GC to be added to my balance after purchasing. And of course, my free 100 SC arrived simultaneously.

What about SC? And what about prizes?

So, there are GC purchase options aplenty, but SC can never be outright bought – they can only be collected by either claiming SC bonuses or playing at SC-powered games.

If you collect 100 SC or more, you can request an SC prize redemption for Punt real money prizes. On the “Redemption” page, I found that every 1 SC is equal to $1 USD for prize exchange purposes, though there are limits enforced when it comes to how many SC you are allowed to redeem at once.

In most US states, there’s a $60,000 prize redemption limit on each single game or spin. There’s also a 3x play-through requirement on all SC you collect on the platform – i.e., not just bonus SC.

A quick Punt review of the operator’s customer service

4.3/5

Those of you paying close attention to my Punt pros and cons list at the top of this guide might’ve noticed that customer support is one area where I actually felt… well… a bit let down by Punt.

You see, with most competitors, if ever you’re having a problem with a Stake.us or ClubWPT promo code or game query, there are several support options available, like live chat for example, which can usually be quickly initiated with the click of hovering “Chat” icon.

At Punt, though, I found the customer support options to be not quite so useful. There’s no “Live Chat” icon here, and no “Help Center” or “Contact Us” page to speak of either, but you will find a “Payment FAQ” page, as well as a US telephone hotline listed in the homepage’s footer.

My gripe here is that all the support options seem to be incredibly payment-centric – the telephone number itself advertised as being for “Payment Related Queries” and the FAQs page offering-up little answers on other issues.

This means that if you need help with anything else, your only options are to contact Punt via their social media pages, the issue with this being that there’s no guarantee of a timely response. In my experiences, I found “@-ing” the brand on X was more likely to attract attention than, say, sending them a Facebook or Instagram message.

Is Punt a legit sweepstakes casino?

4.2/5

Their customer service might not exactly be rock-solid, but Punt is 100% trustworthy as far as brand reputation and sweepstakes compliance go. From their homepage, you can browse through a ton of glowing testimonials from past and existing players – and if you head to TrustPilot, you’ll find a lot of positive reviews about the site’s games and fast transaction times there, too.

Credentials-wise, sweepstakes casinos don’t require state-level licenses in the US, but I was reassured to see that Punt operates fully in line with US Sweepstakes Rules, and offers very transparent access to its Privacy and Customer Acceptance Policies from the footer on its homepage.

These docs reveal that you’ll need to be at least 18-years-old to play at Punt, or potentially older if your own state has, say, a 21+ rule. You won’t currently be able to play here if you’re based in Michigan, Washington, Idaho, or Kentucky, either – as players from these four states aren’t currently permitted.

Is Punt a safe and properly-encrypted platform?

I can confidently say Punt is not a scam site. Not in the slightest, in fact. Their Privacy Policy reveals that SSL encryption is used here to protect players’ data, so you won’t have to worry about anything of that sort being compromised here.

From their “Responsible Social Gameplay” page, it’s evident that Punt takes responsible gaming seriously, too. The page offers tips on playing safely online. However, there are no direct links to any external support organizations provided.

My Punt ratings for the brand’s existing customer rewards

4.7/5

Now you’ve been reassured by yours truly about the legitimacy of the site, I’m sure you’re keen to hear more about the various promotions offered by the brand, right?

Well, unlike what I found when reviewing the operator’s sign-up bonus, Punt is very transparent about what kinds of existing customer offers are up-for-grabs.

When writing my Punt reviews,I found an “Hourly Bonus” advertised on the website’s “Sweeps Rules” page, which you can click on to unlock free GC and/or SC once every hour. There’s also a postal request bonus, where sending a 4×6 postcard to the brand’s Texas address could also net you some free SC.

On top of that, there are endless opportunities to collect free SC by making GC bundle purchases, as I referenced earlier. At the time of writing, you can unlock a maximum of up to 600 free SC by purchasing 6,000,000 GC for $600, for example.

Some say that extra-special Punt no deposit bonus codes can be unlocked by joining the brand’s VIP program, but I couldn’t find any evidence that such a program exists at all while putting together this review.

There’s no mention of a loyalty scheme in the brand’s T&Cs docs or Sweeps Rules for now, and no special tournaments advertised either, but here’s to hoping further bonuses are added to the site in the near future. If so, Punt’s X and FB pages are probably the best places to hear about them first.

My Punt review of the platform’s functionality

4.2/5

If the details of Punt’s bonus are a little on the mysterious side, the experience of visiting, clicking around and using their platform is the polar opposite – everything here’s incredibly clearly signposted.

From the homepage, you’ll be able to scroll a carousel of top-ranking games using left and right arrow icons – with Pragmatic Play slots like Sweet Bonanza and Gates of Olympus taking many of the top spots at the time of writing my Punt ratings.

Click through to any game, and I found you can expect it to load up in seconds. I’m sure many of you will find the controls and buttons all very familiar, too, particularly if you’ve played at Pragmatic, Relax or Hacksaw’s games before (these three software brands are the most widely-represented in the portfolio).

If you’re looking for things like game T&Cs, Sweeps Rules, or Testimonials, you’ll find links to the whole lot at the bottom of the brand’s homepage. Navigating to your account page is equally straightforward, as is locating the tab to purchase GC packages. That’s right – while the site has no purchase requirement, it’s possible to optionally purchase GC top-ups if you want to, and you’ll unlock a free SC bonus whenever you do. I’ll explore how this works soon. Until then, let me talk a little about the mobile gaming experience.

Game selection – top Punt ratings from me

Exciting Punt casino slot games

If Punt has a USP, it’s without doubt the brand’s game selection – which spans more than 500 different titles from a bunch of big-name developers like Pragmatic Play, Hacksaw and Relax Gaming.

There’s no denying that it’s a slots-heavy selection, with such classics as Wanted Dead or A Wild and Sweet Bonanza frequently attracting the largest player numbers. Having said that, it’d be totally unfair to suggest other genres have been neglected here, as Punt’s table and live casino game selections are incredibly decent, too.

You’ll find a good range of live dealer experiences – particularly if you’re into roulette and blackjack games – as well as two or three different “Punt Originals” games, the most popular of which seem to be Dice and Limbo at the time of writing.

Gameplay-wise, I’ve no complaints whatsoever in terms of things like lag or loading times here. I was impressed by Punt’s selection of low limit games, too – there are games here that can be played for as little as 0.20 GCs a spin, which is great if you’re new to the whole sweepstakes casino thing.

Coins - think a typical two-tier sweeps system

Punt’s games are of course powered by either no-frills GC or sweepstakes-friendly SC – only the latter of which has a prize redeemable value.

As I mentioned earlier in my Punt review, 1 SC has a $1 USD redemption value, though you’ll be barred from requesting any prize redemptions at all here until you’ve collected at least 100 SC in your account, and played-through said SC at least 3x each.

These are some pretty strict rules to be honest, but on the bright side the prize redemption process itself really couldn’t be any simpler – just head to the “Redemption” page, pick your prize option and click it a second time to send it your way. No nonsense here then.

Should you sign-up?

If locking-down a sweeps brand that offers hundreds of big-name games is priority number one for you, look no further. Punt’s games are fast-loading and fun to play, and prize redemptions are plain sailing once you’ve ticked all the right T&Cs boxes.

A quick recap of all my Punt ratings

Evidently, Punt has its ins and outs. The game software, game variety and general user-experience are, I must admit, utterly top tier. But the site does let itself down a bit with those below-par customer support options, and I for one would love to see a few more promotions rolled-out in the months ahead; particularly tournament-style offers.

Ultimately, though, I really enjoyed my time playing at the site – and I’ve a feeling most of you guys will, too. The game-loading times are lightning-fast, the lack of an app means you can play instantly from any device you like, and that 500-strong selection of games is enough to keep anybody entertained for weeks – if not months – on end. Add to that those awesome one-hourly GC and SC reloads, and you’re looking at a pretty solid sweepstakes casino.
